Is there any recommendation of what type of primer and coating to use on the airframe surface before covering? Here in California I can't get zinc chromate primer. Instead they sell zinc phosphate. Is the Stewart System Ecobond glue compatible with zinc phosphate primer including rattle can zinc phosphate?

It is standard practice to always top coat steel parts with paint. You can use what ever you want to as far as primers and paint goes. Even Rustolium in a spray can would be better than just plan zinc chromate.

All primers should be top coated even primer sealers and epoxy primers.

I prefer to use our EkoPoxy primer and our EkoCrylic or EkoPoly top coat.

Aluminum does not require the paint. Primer is OK and in most cases no primer at all is fine.

Stewart Systems EkoBond does not have an adverse effects on primers or paints and could be considered universally compatible.
